How's it doing in the UK? And how many episodes until the season finale? | 4:06 pm | I have to lie down now I have no idea how genuine this is, but it would make a lot of sense and confirm all the ideas I had about That Guest Character's character already. ( Torchwood season 2 episode 1 spoilers ) ETA: Nesbitt rumored to become 11th Doctor. Uhm, I guess that gives me a good excuse to watch Jekyll... I don't know what that gift will be yet, but I promise you will receive it within 365 days. The only thing you have to do in return is "pay it forward" by making a similar agreement in your journal. The "gift" you send doesn't have to be handmade or even concrete. It can be fic, icons, whatever. Don't know what it'll be yet, but I guess nothing handmade, I suck at that. I take requests, though, as I'm utterly clueless what to send you. If more than 3 people answer to this... well, that's fine, too :) |

I heard all kinds of weird theories, I guess all we can say for sure is: "Large monster with claws in New York", yes? I wonder if JJ is even capable of solving all the mysteries he comes up with in under 3 hours... I hate viral marketing, it works far too well. And once more my thanks goes to Comic Con for TV news I never dared to dream of: 'Ripper' TV Film Coming. |

| 1:07 am | Can I get a Hell Yeah? O'Bannon Penning Farscape Webisodes ("The Farscape series aired on the SCI FI from 1989 to 2003"... gotta love that typo, made me grin quite a bit). This is sounding better and better all the time, seeing as at least some of the old gang is going to be involved. I'm also fine with 'expanding the universe', we've seen far too little of that and getting all the actors again was always as good as impossible. I still wonder how much money will go into this, I can't see ScFi hiring the Creature Shop again. Pity. But meh, 3 to 6 minutes? Still better than nothing, but at the moment I'm doubting that this is going to get us anywhere. And look what I found: All I want for Christmas. Nice to see it a bit better. Still keeping my fingers crossed the BBC will release this as merchandise. I always wanted a pocket watch (as my aunt And are there any pictures of Jonathan Ross snogging Neil Gaiman out there? Because that's OTP, people, OTP. One day, I'll make it to Comic Con. One day... |

| 10:00 pm | Heroes! On my TV! Ooooh, RTL2 started airing teasers! Hiro, Isaac and Hiro again. Quite simple, but should intrigue viewers. Soon everyone will love Hiro ^^ Also, the two voices for Peter and Nathan Petrelli have been anounced. I'm extremely amused that those two usually dub Elijah Wood and Hugh Jackman. That'll be strange, but could work, yes. *g* And for all of you still planning summer holidays somewhere with a beach: What a landing... nice... ;) |

They watched too much "Das perfekte Dinner" (Same as Come Dine with Me) and decided to do exactly that: Get us all to cook for each other to find the Perfect Dinner. And while the others are squeeing and already thinking about table decorations, I have one little problem: I CANNOT COOK! Not even if my life depended on it. If the things I cook are vaguely edible, then that's a good day. Argh. What do I cook? What do I cook? Any ideas? I need starters, a main course and dessert, something that's easy to do yet looks and tastes like I know what I'm doing? Help? *runs off to search the 'net* |

| 8:44 pm | German for Beginners/Whovians Official German episode titles for Doctor Who season 1, found in some dusty cabinet of the FSK. Surprisingly good titles, no real howlers in there, they more or less translated correctly and didn't invent new, improved ones (as they usually do)... well, except for Boom Town, that one will simply be utterly hilarous to see ;) 1x01 - Rose 1x02 - Das Ende der Welt 1x03 - Die rastlosen Toten ("The Restless Dead") 1x04 - Aliens in London, Teil 1 ("Aliens in London") 1x05 - Der dritte Weltkrieg, Teil 2 ("The third World War" is the only way to say this, yes) 1x06 - Dalek 1x07 - Langzeitstrategie ("Long Term Strategy" not perfect, but clever) 1x08 - Vatertag 1x09 - Das leere Kind - Teil 1 (sounds... odd, yet I can't think of a better translation for 'empty' here. Must sound intriguing to newbies at least) 1x10 - Der Doktor tanzt - Teil 2 (Sounds quite nice, yes ^^) 1x11 - Der Spalt ("The Crack"... I'm going to die of laughter, I know it! Yet I can see why they did it, the wordplay would be lost on Germans) 1x12 - Böser Wolf - Teil 1 (See, it's not 'Schlechter Wolf', BBC!) 1x13 - Getrennte Wege - Teil 2 ("Separate[d] Ways") Still, some of those sound really, really strange... I suddenly get this 'it's wrong' vibe again. At least they translated Bad Wolf correctly ;) |

| 10:11 am | Plea for help I'm not browsing the f-list today in fear of Potter squee/wank/spoilers and may be away for some more days because RL is going to keep me very busy until wednesday or so. Shock, horror, me away from the net for 3 days, I know. Oh, and thanks go out to U.N. Known again, whose Amazon Gift Certificate let me get HP for free (if the good man from DHL arrives soon). But still, I have a problem, and knowing how many talented people I have on my f-list I'll give you a challenge while I'm away. The Biology Faculty Football Tournament is on tuesday, and we decided to play. But we still need a design for our t-shirts. Some fellow students already played with Paint Shop, but I can't come up with something... help? It really doesn't have to be something fancy, just a nice little eye catcher that'll look good on a t-shirt? We'll be called "The Masters of the Universe", just because we're going to be the only 'Master' students that'll participate and yes, we're quite overconfident ;). Note that we're the ones doing genetic engeneering and usually fiddle with things like Volvox, Chlamy, stem cells or mice. It really doesn't even have to be in colour, something b/w and schematic will do? Nice Biohazard sign with our name or something? Cheap jokes are - of course - allowed. Whoever wins will have the honour of 14 people wearing his/her design. I'll be off then, the DHL guy is coming up our driveway... |

And just in time, Cruise starts filming in Berlin. I'm a bit 'meh' about that entire discussion if he should be allowed to play him, I just hope the movie won't be crap. Which it probably will be... We have so few heroes, please don't mess this up. Meanwhile, I wonder if my brain looks like this, too. Certainly feels that way right now. That last exam on monday will be a catastrophe, I tell you. |

Seems to be genuine as far as I can tell, but I have absolutely no time to watch them yet (but he has the same electron microscope as we have *squees*). You know where to look. Also: Meme. | 12:43 am | Jack/Methos is love I can write how they to meet, I can write how they recognize each other for what they are and I can get Methos into the Hub. What I can't do is to shut them both up. I just wanted to write that bunny down before it hopped away again; that was about one and a half hour and 1200 words ago. They talk and snark and reveal absolutely nothing that's vaguely important for some kind of plot (that I don't really have yet). They just won't end their conversation down in the prison cells. I need to learn tomorrow, boys, be a bit more helpful and supportive, please? You can snark when I'm not looking, now do something! ETA: One day and 600 words later and I have something vaguely resembling plot. And still they talk. And dammit, plot wants me to write a swordfight and a Quickening. AND explain the Game in a nutshell. Uh-Oh. |

| 9:17 pm | Look what I've found Doctor Who season 1 DVD Box... in German. The sad part? This was meant to be released after Pro7 had shown it... Well done, Pro7, really. No no, don't feel obliged to finish the first season of 'Jericho', just cancel it at episode 14 and show me dumb German fairytales, re-enacted with celebrities I've never heard of or despise. AGAIN. Yes, well done. Now I know where my money goes. Although, reading the summary I'm still a bit glad it hasn't aired over here yet. It just sounds wrong in German. I wonder what bonus material they talk of, the price is too good for the box to have all the extras I have. Also it's DUBBED! It can't get wronger than that. I wonder what they've done to the poor characters... *Is afraid. Is very afraid* |
